A visitor from back home

At the end of last week until the beginning of this one I had the luxury to spend time with my mum who travelled here from Finland. We were determined to use every minute of her visit effectively and we were pleased to see that we had actually succeeded in this endeavour. Though it was extremely exciting to have a family member visit me in London for the first time, the situation was completely self-evident. This is how it's supposed to be.

Again I will let the pictures tell the story here as they are the most accurate and reliable source of information in these circumstances.

Starting off with amazing food....

Please do visit the Hamilton's Cafe in central London. The picture below is from this particular cafe and it was one of the loveliest (and the most reasonably priced!) meals ever.

Besides eating we walked our feet off (am I making up expressions now...?) that day while shopping, obviously, after which I took my mum on a guided tour to the Narnia of uni life - the hall of residence. A rewarding journey to Tesco Express next door resulted in a delicious dinner and a good night's sleep.

The next day we found our way to Waterloo station at the break of dawn, hopped on a train (record: tickets bought sitting on the train in 10 minutes) and travelled to Windsor. The pictures really say it all:

That. Was. Goood.
