Lucky

There are four girls who haven't known each other for even three years. Yet somehow they cannot imagine their lives without the feeling of belonging in a group in which one can share anything - positive, negative and insane thoughts and emotions. There's absolutely nothing one can say or do that would scare them off or confuse them too much as it is generally known that all four of them are equally strange in the best way possible and that they accentuate that feature in each other. It's just the mental connection that makes one trust in the stability of their friendship no matter what.

A lot happened when they went to school together. The halls were infused by the echo of their laughter when stupid jokes were created out of nowhere. The notebooks became filled with questionable sketches while sitting in the backrow where the teacher couldn't see. Occasional Fridays were dedicated to sitting in a coffee shop for four hours after school in the name of a "Crisis Meeting". The habit of sending illegally ugly snapchats to each other was quickly embraced and even a bit of a new language was developed. And when it was time to move on they all read their yearbook texts written by the other three and thought: "These people really know me." There are only so many people like that in the world.

There's nothing that would make one want to give that up.

This weekend was their last sleepover for a while. But that's OK. Friends like that do not go away -  people move, distances grow and one day it is realized that making time to catch up isn't that easy anymore.

That's just life.

"Friends for life."
